How People Decide - Real Estate Marketing
I just read an interesting article about real estate marketing and how buyers and sellers choose which buying or selling agent they will work with. It included 3 very interesting points that I think most Realtors(R) already know. But….there is a big difference between "knowing" and "doing" though isn't there?
- The National Association of Realtors (R) reported that over 90% of consumers choose the first agent they speak with when they choose a buyers or sellers agent to represent them. Many don't even talk to more than one agent. You just need to be THAT agent…right?
- The second most important factor is knowledge of the market and neighborhood they are selling in or looking to purchase.
- 90% of all buyers used the Internet to search for homes.
With this type of information, don't you think it would be helpful if you actually marketed your services to those who may be looking for an agent?
Because we work with so many different agents, we really get the opportunity to see those who "get it" and those who don't. What might the difference you ask? It is very simple…
- Those who "get it"…have a *marketing plan executed consistently. They are also consistent with marketing to past clients. Past client and your sphere of influence are a gold mine for the agents who "get it". With an average satisfaction rate of 88% among those surveyed across the country, it is HIGHLY likely they would use the agent to represented them in the past, if they could reach them. The agents who "get it" make sure their past clients know how to reach them with their consistently executed marketing plan.

- Those who "don't get it", don't market themselves and their businesses and wonder why they don't have business. When they do mail, they mail ONE TIME and wonder why they didn't get any response. They also wonder why their past clients didn't contact them, but haven't been in touch with them via phone, email or mail from the date escrow closed and the check cashed. (*note…the agents who "get it" have a marketing plan executed consistently, the key being consistently)
I really don't mean to be so frank…but I know this to be true and at PrinterBees, we are really committed to helping out clients create great real estate marketing plans and sticking to them consistently….BECAUSE IT WORKS.
